Collaboration
Much of my research is done together with organisations that face real decisions under uncertainty. I am open to new research collaborations, joint projects, and co-supervised student projects in energy, weather and climate, and other domains with complex time series or spatiotemporal data.
Research partnerships
- SHARE: an NWO project on physics-informed, privacy-preserving synthetic energy data, with Alliander, Open Universiteit, Gemeente Nijmegen, Zenmo, VSL, and Bronscode. Starts February 2027.
- Radboud–Alliander partnership: I lead the AI and data science theme in the strategic collaboration between Radboud University and grid operator Alliander on the challenges of the energy transition in the Netherlands.
- KNMI: precipitation nowcasting with deep generative models.
For small and medium-sized companies
Through the MKB Datalab Oost we help regional companies take their first steps with machine learning and AI, often through student projects. If you are a company that wants to incorporate machine learning in your business, or a student looking for real-world experience, get in touch.
